LIVE PODCASTING! Give Us a Call!

DrewWHO WANTS TO BE ON iTUNES?

Hey kids, this Thursday, Dec. 20, at Noon ET, the Stuck in the '80s podcast crew -- Steve Spears, Sean Daly and special guest Stephanie "America's Sweetheart" Hayes -- will be recording a podcast about the best '80s songs to play at your New Year's Eve Party.

We're gonna do it in a "live" format, which means if you call us between 12 and 1 P.M. this Thursday --  the number is (727) 892-2655 -- there's a great chance we'll put you on the show. Then, when the show launches a few days later, you can download yourself on iTunes.

When you call -- (727) 892-2655 -- you can either:
(1) Recommend a great New Year's Eve '80s song
(2) Try to stump us with a trivia question
(3) Tell us we suck and/or wish us a Happy New Year
(4) Explain why our female fans find Steve so unbearably sexy

If the phone is busy, keep trying. I'll make sure Steve orders his daily allotment of meat lover's pizzas early so he won't clog up the phone.

Don't be shy! Give us a call!

ARGH! I wonder if my boss will notice I've taken leave for an hour or so. Would it be wrong of me to call from the employee bathroom? It's the only place in a mall to find privacy. Yeah, I work in a mall, but don't go laughing and thinking I work for peanuts at the Gap. I'm highly trained in what I do lol
Consarnit!

Sean,

Downloading yourself on the "Stuck in the 80's" podcast is like TiVoing yourself when you appear on "Cops"!

Nonetheless, I'll brave the perils of overseas phone connections to try and participate.

I'd be crushed if we didn't hear from both of you. C'mon, gang, make it a very special episode. (Well, not that "special," Marissa.)

Hmmm....I work in a school library, and that time period is right in the middle of 6th grade lunch. Do you suppose my daily crew of computer game players and teen magazine readers at lunchtime would notice me huddling in the corner giggling into the phone? They might be very disturbed to see their mild mannered librarian transformed into a stuck in the 80's podcast groupie. I know, I'll lock them all out and engage in some 80's chatter! Yeah, that's the ticket....

Oh, the lengths we'll go to for our beloved Stuck in the 80s, eh Sherrie?

What no 800 number?

You must call! We won't keep you on the line too long. Promise. Besides, you CAN'T miss being part of the greatest episode of all time. Just wait til you see the surprises we have in store. A live nude Spears? Maybe, just maybe.

Do you have a time slot or can you run OT? You do remember that stutter and I can't drink at the office.

lol I'll risk the rumors and dirty stares. Heck, I already get those anyway.

Steve and I are talking now about extending the time slot. As far as you know, it's still noon to 1 eastern time this Thursday. But we might be able to get more studio time if that helps everyone. After all, we gotta hear from Sparky.

We'll keep you guys posted...

Oh wait! I'm in the central time zone. That means 11-noon por moi! I don't have to be on the job until 11:30. Timing will be crucial. :)

One or both of you nude during the podcast??? Sean, any chance one of the 'surprises' in store for the 80's nation, is this will be the first "Stuck In The 80's" VIDEO podcast????

9 am Pacific? There's a 9 AM? When school is out?

Alright, I'll try to get on.

Great talking with you Sean! Hays relatives? That's pretty rare! I think our side got all the hair! Let me know if you guys ever make it out to Dallas!

I spent my whole lunch break trying to call the Stuck in the 80's man cave, only to be rewarded with a constant stream of busy signals. Oh well, maybe next time I can more effectively skip out on work and have more time to call. For what it's worth, my New Years Eve playlist song is "The Boys Are Back in Town" by the Bus Boys. It's a blend of nostalgia and hope that is just perfect for New Years Eve.

Sorry you didn't get thru, Sherrie. We basically had wall-to-wall callers. It was nuts.

Even more heartbreaking: Steve and I often play that Bus Boys song to pump ourselves up pre-show. That's the truth. He'll be devastated to hear that.

Please do another live podcast soon!

We need the Canadian perspective. I gave up after calling about 20 times.

Such a blast! yeah, I got through. I'm braggin'. Unhuh..go me! Go me!
Sean, I laughed all day! It was one of those instances where explaining why I was laughing was pointless.
Wee!
