Britney Spears performs at the Forum on March 8. Will you be there?
Yes! She's still the bomb.
No! I don't do train wrecks.
Oops, I'll be in rehab that day.

Van Halen Tix On Sale Saturday!

EddieWanna see Van Halen at the St. Pete Times Forum on Feb. 18?

Yep, you and about 50,000 other Tampa Bay maniacs.

With David Lee Roth & Co. making good on their reunion promises (who knew it would last this long?), this is gonna be a tough ticket to get. But you'll get your chance this Saturday (12/8) at 10 a.m.

Your best best is to buy them in person at the Forum's box office. Or you can always take your chances with Ticketmaster.com or calling 813.287.8844 or 727.898.2100. But don't blame me when you're stuck at home cranking Diver Down the night of the show.

All tickets are priced at
$49.50, $79.50 and $149.50. Man, those are some steep numbers. But Eddie and DLR always did have extra-large huevos, and I bet they sell every last one.

Comments

I was going to get the cheap ones. But since my birthday and the concert are within weeks of each other, it seems I'm going on the parents' dime. So first level it is!

Hell yeah, treat yourself well.

Of course, it's not going to be an easy ticket to get. If you can make it, go down to the Forum on Saturday. It's in the venue's best interest to make sure everyone who shows up gets a ticket. Happened with Hannah Montana. And I bet it happens with Van Halen. Ticketmaster is such a nightmare, you just never know.

Consider this sitcom pitch:

Middle-aged, single dad Eddie and his chunky, but precocious, teenage son Wolfie are about to set out on a cross-country adventure accompanied by Eddie's slacker brother Alex. When who should show up but David, Alex and Eddie's wacky friend from the 80's. Nutty hijinks ensue.

I shouldn't have to pay for this concert, I should get it in thirty-minute, laugh-tracked chunks every Tuesday night on Fox.
