Vancouver Man Boards Crazy Train

Bats_2THIS JUST IN! On Christmas Eve, a Vancouver, Wash., man claiming to be Ozzy Osbourne was arrested after barging into a convenience store and waving a gun around. You can see the video HERE.

To the dude's credit, he kinda looks like Ozzy. Plus he lives in Vancouver, Wash. I wouldn't mind defending this guy in court. After a lonely day of drinking, with no one to spend a cold Christmas with, it's understandable that this lunatic would look in the mirror and see the Blizzard of Ozz. It was his only defense.

He should sue God for $1.3 million. While he's at it, he should also slap a suit on the folks at MD 20/20 just for good measure.

A friend once described me as a morphing of Tom Hanks and John Candy. I didn't mind that. Hell, I love Splash. That said, Volunteers sucks.

Ozzy_2Because this blog is wandering aimlessly, let's finish with the FIVE BEST OZZY SOLO TUNES...
5. Over the Mountain
4. I Don't Know
3. Bark at the Moon
2. Crazy Train
1. Flying High Again

Sean, Sean, Sean.

You certainly gave me a shock, until I clicked and found out it was Vancouver, WASHINGTON!

Not up here, in my city.

Please preface your Amerk cities next time..... there is more than one 'Couv out there! Typical.

On a happier note, Flying High Again is the theme song for my hockey team, the "Radio Flyers" (Yes, terrible pun, I know.) Excellent choice!

I was actually listening to Ozzy on Christmas Eve while out in the last minute Christmas shopping frenzy at my local mall. Listening to Ozzy, seem to calm me down, (should tell you how bad the shopping experience was!).

So, being that this is a timely story... Other than the two obvious songs in your list "Crazy Train and Bark At the Moon", my favorite Ozzy songs would be...
. Shot In The Dark (Ultimate Sin)
. You're No Different (BATM)
. Rock N Roll Rebel (BATM) and
. So tired (BATM)

The guy in the story, obviously a nutcase... but at first glance... does strike a very close resemblence. Let's hear him sing a few notes.. not!

"The Road to Nowhere"

I find that song a bit reflective on Ozzy's part, especially on the lyric "the wreckage of my past keeps haunting me..."

My apologies to the sane people of Vancouver, BC. I'll clarify immediately.

In my humble opinion, there are no songs on BATM and/or The Ultimate Sin that touch anything on the first two records.

If I had to take one song with me on a desert island...it would be the title track to "Diary of a Madman".

Thank you for your time. Thank you for your blog.

Sorry to get all angry, Sean. Christmastime is quite crazy up here. I apologize for my rudeness.

On a happier note, "Moonraker" is on TV right now. Time to watch a terrible Bond movie!
