Randy and Paula's New Song!!!
At the risk of posting too much "Idol" crap, here's the new song by Randy Jackson and Paula Abdul, Dance Like There's No Tomorrow. It sounds like G-rated Timbaland, which I imagine is the point. It also sounds like '80s-born fluff from Nu Shooz. Anyway, I don't hate it as much as I should.

Sean Daly is the pop music critic for the St. Petersburg Times. His CD collection -- from Journey to Dylan, Prince to U2, Public Enemy to Stan Getz -- is much bigger and better than yours.
You're absolutely right...you don't hate this nearly as much as you should. This made me briefly consider setting myself on fire.

I don't think it's all that bad. It beats the hell out of "Vibeology".

Sounds like every other over-processed voice out today; i.e. britney spears, hillary duff, ashley tisdale, etc. She'd probably sell more downloads if she used a moniker like "40+ Pop Skeeza." That said, I think it's a catchy tune and I'm picturing Paula pole dancing ala Britney if there's a video made for this.

Wow. It reminds me of the snarky comment made by Credence's John Fogarty: "Anybody can make a record."
