PODCAST TIME! The Forever Fiancee Revealed

ShebabyHey Young Lovers! After rabid complaints that the Stuck in the '80s podcasts were getting too smart, too cerebral, too worthy of your priceless free time...I returned. Yep, after special guests Steve Persall and Stephanie Hayes gifted you with their trenchant pop-culture commentary, I pretty much sink that sumbeetch in seconds. Poor Al, he'll have to get his brain food somewhere else.

But those of you who expect very little from me (Mom, Aunt Shirley, great swaths of the Eastern Seaboard), just might be charmed by this week's show, which is all about John Hughes' 1988 classic She's Having a Baby. How appropriate, yes? The Daly fam just welcomed a wee lass into the club. Plus I've spent the last 15 years traversing the minefield of pre-nuptial stress. In fact, FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER, you'll hear from my better half, the aforementioned Forever Fiancee, born in Philly, raised in Jersey, a gal who pulls neither her punches nor her emasculating zingers. And she's all mine!

You can listen to the show RIGHT HERE. Or head to iTunes and download us there. Have fun!

Such a funny and endearing exchange between you and the Forever Fiancee. It was about time!
I paid a little extra to ensure my copy of SHAB arrived before the podcast was unveiled. Naturally, I got the soundtrack, too. I watched Saturday morning and listened to the podcast when I returned from work. The live chat had ended. So, I was able to take in every syllable.
I don't need no stinkin' cerebral stimulation, Sean. I'm glad you're back.

As I mentioned on the live chat yesterday...

I'll admit I liked the cerebral-ness of the Oscar podcast right along with Al...

However, give me the lowest common denominator-type jokes or give me death... welcome back, Mr. Daly.

And the FF is a woman amongst women. My new hero.

The Forever Fiancee's name goes right next to Harriot in Cuba's in the "Long Suffering Women Hall of Fame".

How do they ever put up with the likes of us?

The mind boggles.

Yo, Sean ... can't wait to download the pcast .. having tons of trouble with itunes, it's always way behind ... prolly why I download so much of my entertainment from russians (http://mp3shake.com is the latest I've been using, one step ahead of the dudes at Visa that keep cutting them off)

Anyway, nuthin' to do with the Oscars (when it really matters, they put it on the emmys) or FF or anything.

But, any thoughts on Vampire Weekend? Newish band from NYC, combining African music stylings with poppy lyrics. Just wondered if you'd been interested in them at all ... they're comin' here in April, I'll be there, just up the street, but wondered if you'd been into them at all.

Sean, thanks for the shout-out! I just got back from doing another hockey game on radio......man you media guys have it sweet.

Free food:

Donuts, pasta, salad, even little lemon wedges for salad......popcorn, etc.

Free parking too!

I love being part of the media!

Sean Daly! How long have you known me?? I guess the better question is...how WELL do you know me??

A correction in facts - I was BORN in Rhode Island. I was RAISED in Philly and I spent three insufferable years in Jersey during high school! Escaped to Boston for college. I assume you remember the rest?

FF

Trust me, "born in Philly, raised in Jersey" sounds better, tougher. Now that you're a celebrity, you'll need to start "polishing" certain facts. For instance, my readers think I'm a natural blond. Nope, redhead thru and thru.

SD,

I love how you're selling the liberties you took with the FF's 'curriculum vitae' as necessary media spin.

Let me know how that works out for you.

Sean,

I'm saving the podcast for a trip later this week but I'm looking forward to hearing from a woman who can tolerate a grudge-carrying music critic...

By the way, the Stewart Copeland shout-out has endeared you to me pretty much forever. I squeeeeed like the fan-girl I am when I heard it. Yay!
