PLAYLIST REVISITED: The Crying Playlist
Last month I ran a highly controversial playlist about crying. To recap: At any given time, at least two people in my four-strong household, which now includes a beautiful, bouncy six-week-old daughter, can be heard sobbing. (You can read that HERE.) Although certain folks did not "get" this playlist at all, high-falutin' IMEEM technology has allowed me to take that item and soup it up as a cool jukebox. So now everyone will like it! Okay, maybe not. Nevertheless, I'm gonna revisit playlists from the past and juke 'em up. I'll also tweak the original lists to accomodate reader suggestions. Enjoy!

Sean Daly is the pop music critic for the St. Petersburg Times. His CD collection -- from Journey to Dylan, Prince to U2, Public Enemy to Stan Getz -- is much bigger and better than yours.
Sean, here's a few more to add to your list:
From the Wayback Machine:
- "Big Girls Don't Cry" by Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons
- "Cry Cry Cry" by Johnny Cash
More recent:
- "When Doves Cry" by Prince (or even better, the refreshing remake by The Be Good Tanyas)

I'm having computer issues getting my IMEEM to work. Is #1 a cover of The Kinks version?

Hey Sean! Have you gotten our reviews back yet? I didn't print myself a copy and my journalism teacher wanted to read it. Let's hope I don't get yelled at for writing that, haha

Meg Lamb! My withering social commentator/Lindsay Lohan's worst nightmare. Always nice when you show up.
Unfortunately, the good folks at SIPA have severed all lines of communication with me. I think it was the bawdy keynote address. I'll bug 'em today about your review.
I have a few of the reviews at home, but all the really good ones (including yours) were handed over. I should have had you print out a bunch. I should have realized your true genius at the time!!!!
