PODCAST TIME! Good Songs, Bad Movies

Against_2Wanna hear some fun music?

Wanna relive some lousy movies?

Wanna witness the gruesome effects Funyuns have on a healthy, vibrant young woman?

Then I strongly suggest you download the latest episode of Stuck in the '80s, a rollicking dissertation on cheesetastic songs (including Best Man in the World, Meet Me Half Way, Twist of Fate, Love Somebody) and the craptastic movies from which they came (The Golden Child, Over the Top, Two of a Kind, Hard to Hold).

Preview audiences have proclaimed this particular show to be "nonstop hilarity," with an intro that will forever change the way you think about podcasting.

And as for that Funyun ugliness, well, you'll just have to listen to the show by CLICKING HERE or downloading us on iTunes. Bon appetit!

I'm thrilled that I can listen to this one again. Sean, the intro was brilliant. Steve gave you total props for coming up with that.
I love when Steve says, "what, silence is golden all of a sudden?"

You boys have set the bar mighty high for yourselves.

I was afraid that your drooling over Jill would be overly obvious, but clearly the editing was premium this time around lol Everything is balanced and I loved it!

Oh, I have to ask you what you thought of the speed replay of your UBER long question posed to Rick Springfield. You sound like a chipmunk on helium.

I ALWAYS sound like a chipmunk on helium. I have a face for radio, and a voice for animation.

I listened to the podcast again this morning, and Sean, your line about the break-away PJ's sent me into a fit of laughter. I don't know what was funnier, the line itself, or Jill's reaction to it.

Sean, admit it. You didn't listen to the finished product, did ya?

Great podcast Mr Daly. Non stop hilarity. Except for the moment when Stephen Q Spears labeled Less Than Zero a bad movie. Obviously had his mind on other things when watching this movie in the 80's. Trimming his moustache perhaps. Probably would have liked it more if Ione was in it. Keep up the good work Sean, pick up your act Spears.

"Trimming his moustache perhaps"!

Yes, Ian From Down Under! Thanks for reminding me. I need to call about my order of 1,000 "In College, I Had a Mustache" T-shirts and shot glasses.

Although I hate to do this I have to nominate Winner Takes It All, from Over the Top.

Sean Daly is the pop music critic for the St. Petersburg Times. His CD collection -- from Journey to Dylan, Prince to U2, Public Enemy to Stan Getz -- is much bigger and better than yours.
