PODCAST TIME! Where's My Speedo?
Before Steve Spears took off for Vegas -- and before I was put on house arrest due to infractions stemming from my 38th birthday -- we managed to hole up in the recording studio and knock out a new Stuck in the '80s podcast. This one's all about the music, movies and besotted memories of "Spring Break in the '80s." Lotta good tunes, and a lotta besotted tales in this show. Oddly enough, there's also a high squeamish factor. So if you don't like bugs, dogs, me in snug Magnum P.I. tennis shorts, Spears with a cheezeball mustache, the Outfield or Coppertoned fat guys, you might wanna skip this sucker. If, however, that all sounds wicked awesome, then pull up a beach chair, a tan freshman and a case of Pils Lights and listen to the show HERE or download us on iTunes. Chug! Chug! Chug!

Sean Daly is the pop music critic for the St. Petersburg Times. His CD collection -- from Journey to Dylan, Prince to U2, Public Enemy to Stan Getz -- is much bigger and better than yours.
THIS WEEK'S SHOW: Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers rock Tampa Bay. To hear the latest "Stuck in the 80s" episode now,
Sean, your Jamaican me crazy with roaches tale made me think of Joe's Apartment. ACK!
Imagery of you in Magnum snugs isn't so awful. I mean, you ARE a dead ringer for my 'Roo, after all.
And, you'll be happy to know, I didn't take a stab at this week's MMM. So, you won't have that in your mailbox Monday morning. I sent you something else that is far more amusing.

Ahh...there it is!!! "Spring Break". I mean, just look at that poster. Doesn't it just scream, "Hey, horny teenagers, don't be shy!! Step right up!!"
Ugh...those tennis shorts. I just veered off onto a part of memory lane that I'd just as soon forget.

Why didn't it put my name with the above post?? (Shakes fist at sky)

I'm about halfway through the podcast on my lunchbreak, sadly I'll have to pause it before it's done and do that stupid "work" thing. Bah.
You mentioned Curtis "Booger" Armstrong on the podcast, and I just saw him on TV yesterday! My son was watching "ICarly" on Nick, and there was Booger as a guitar strumming, pirate talking, convenience store clerk. I yelled "that's Booger!", but my 11 year old son was totally unimpressed. Ah, those of us from the 80's at least know the glory that is "Booger".
