Lykke Li's "I'm Good, I'm Gone"

This 22-year-old Swede says her burbling electro-pop is inspired by Madonna and Bob Dylan. After listening to her debut, I’m also hearing Missing Persons, PJ Harvey and the guy who designs those big honkin’ IKEA catalogues. This is a hip, mellow affair, the kind of clean, sleek heartbreak you’d hear at a dinner party thrown by young Chicago architects. Not sure if that's a good thing or not. Whattaya think?

Ah! Finally a post that is not about the Jonas Brothers. I didn`t make any comments on the recent posts because i didn´t get what was that all about.

Now,this Lykke Li.This song is not brilliant, although minimally enjoyable. The video has images that look like Ingmar Bergman on acid.
But the weird thing is she saying that her music is a mix of Madonna and Bob Dylan!?! Like that would be possible! In the middle of the chaos of contemporary music there are still some sure things. One is you can`t mix Madonna and Bob Dylan!

Yeah, I think I heard this one at
architectureisfun's summer wine tasting party in Old Town. It went over well.

Ah! Summer wine tasting. Better than Summer wine tasting, only Summer beer tasting.Or Autumn beer tasting.......in Munich.

POP CULTURE QUIZ:

A group of goldfish is called a:

a) School
b) Swarm
c) Troubling

Prize goes to the first correct answer.

School is the correct answer.

nobody cares

I am not getting the whole Bob Dylan thing. Not bad though.

Sean, I love it when you reference Chicago (the city, not the band.)

Groovy little beat. Now, have you checked out Alphabeat? They come from Copenhagen. "Fascination" comes highly recommended from your's truly.

This Lykke Li is Santogold with less bass.

Sean, I liked it so well I went to Itunes and got the special edition.

Although, the video was a bit disturbing. The silver body builders reminded me of you and Steve...

Sorry about the double post.

I'm joking, of course, about the body builders. Sounded a bit mean after reading it...

I just rewatched the video. The song definitely doesn`t captivate me,but the video is a bit disturbing. There are moments reminding "Hour of the Wolf" by Bergman but on speed.

Sorry, I'm not digging this one.
