My New Favorite Song: The Dead Weather 'Treat Me Like Your Mother'
Despite the fact that I often have no idea what he's talking about, I really like Jack White. Whether he's helming the White Stripes or the Raconteurs, or even producing the incandescent likes of Loretta Lynn, the Detroiter is an endlessly fascinating dude, a classic-rock god reflected in a funhouse mirror. His latest project is called the Dead Weather, a psycho-bluesy outfit in which White duets with Kills frontwoman Alison Mosshart. It's grindy, groiny stuff. The new album is called Horehound; the first single is right here, Treat Me Like Your Mother. Whattaya think?

Fun Fact: Mosshart is from Florida and used to play in the punk band Discount before they split in 2000.
Think they were based out of Vero but I remember seeing them in Gainesville years ago.

I dig it. It reminds me of the rap/rock/metal/hip hop feel featured on the "Judgment Night" soundtrack.

Hmm, not bad, interesting. Let me listen to it a few times and we'll see if it sticks.
I can say this - the video looks like it was shot in Victorville, CA or the surrounding area.

I like it, I like it alot. I also like that Jack plays drums with this band instead of guitar.
Watch them on Jimmy Fallon tomorrow night (Fri 7/17)
JoBros are on Fallon tonight.
