Shakira's "She Wolf": New song, old sex appeal

When did Shakira turn into Samantha Fox? Or have I been blinded by her hoochie-coochie routine this whole time? The 32-year-old Colombian was hoping for a big fall, with a new album due in October. But first single She Wolf sounds dated in a bad Stacey-Q-B-side sorta way. Usually I'm easily swayed by half-naked caged seductresses. But hips and all, this one is a stinker.

What happened to actual singing? Trash this one.

Lasted a minute...It's horrible. Was this song made for the Twilight sequel?

Brad

Only Jeff Lynne could make a hit with that much synth and strings. Meh.

Marissa

Too much electronica mucking it up. There's nothing reminiscent about her previous endeavors. Where's the Shakira charm? I'm not remotely inclined to chair dance to this one.
Sean, you nailed this one. Oof!
