Who will make your ears bleed faster: Metallica or Miley Cyrus? Who will wear more makeup: KISS or the Killers? Who will be happier: people who see David Foster & Friends or people who get a root canal? There are myriad questions looming over this stuffed fall concert season. (For instance, will Shooter Jennings, above, ever send me another bottle of Wild Turkey?) But there are five things we know for sure, and that’s the must-see shows coming to Tampa Bay. READ ON.

Top 5 Pop Divas: Will Madonna and Britney meet up on our list?

Tonight at 9, VH1 will revive its Divas series, in which well-piped rock royals belt, duet and hair-flip in each other's sparkly orbit. Previous eps showcased Diana Ross, Mary J. Blige and Mariah Carey, powerhouses all. The latest lineup features such high-wattage names as Adele (wait — what?), Leona Lewis (are we reading this press release right?) and Miley Cyrus (sheesh, is a 12-year-old booking talent at VH1?). The show -- which promises to hover somewhere between watchable and what's-on-HBO? -- has inspired Times performing arts critic John Fleming and "he-va" Sean Daly to restore order to the diva-verse and rank the Top 5 divas in opera, Broadway and pop. Ashley Tisdale: Five reasons why millions of tweens (and one doughy music critic) love her

Ashley Tisdale's new album, the titularly self-aware Guilty Pleasure, comes out next Tuesday. Her new movie, Aliens in the Attic, arrives next Friday. That’s a whole lot of Tiz coming at you. So because Pop Life is rife with haters and naysayers, here are five awesome reasons why the 24-year-old is more than another vapid Disney doll:

1) Tisdale is a bad singer. But here’s the thing: Whether she’s vamping as HSM’s Sharpay “Fabulous” Evans or warbling her bubblicious pop, Tisdale is seldom overproduced or monstrously pitch-tuned. Why? Because unlike, say, Vanessa Hudgens, Tisdale has an actual personality, and it’s based on charming imperfection.

2) Tisdale is a good comedian. Her deliciously vain Sharpay was the saving grace of the HSM flicks. And while gamboling with twins Zack & Cody on the Disney Channel, she proved a slapstick star. I like a girl who can take a pie in the face.

3) Tisdale’s grandfather, Arnold Morris, created the Ginsu knife craze. Oh, please, don’t pretend that’s not cool.

4) Tisdale is not sleazy. In a day and age when her Hollywood peers are getting caught on sex tape or wrapping Ferraris around parking meters, we only see Tisdale on TV and in magazines when she wants us to. Sure, she did give a lapdance to an Obama impersonator, but it was funny and, more importantly, totally unconvincing.

5) Tisdale is pretty, but not THAT pretty. When Tisdale went out and got herself a new schnoz, the rhino-response was vitriolic. But people were upset mainly because we already have enough perfecto Barbies out there. Tiz was cool because she had a giant beak. Although we miss her old honker, she’s still unconventionally lovely — a little mousey, a little gangly — a decent message for kids who don’t look like Brit-Brit. Of course, if she gets a boob job, she’s dead to me.

Hannah Montana's Mitchel "Smokin' Oaken" Musso to play State Theatre in St. Pete Sept. 20

Mitchel Musso, the kid who plays Oliver on Hannah Montana, has emerged from puberty a scampy, mop-topped singer. (Of course he has. That's the Disney Channel way. If they're cute, get 'em a microphone.) In vids for his self-titled debut album, the kid seems a little too big for his britches, a little too cocky. But appropriately enough, my 5-year-old loves him. So maybe, just maybe, I'll take her to Mitchel Musso's show at St. Pete's intimate State Theatre on Sunday, Sept. 20. Don't worry, moms and dads: Doors are at 5, the show starts at 6. Tickets -- which go on sale Saturday, June 20 at 10 a.m. -- are $18 in advance, $20 day of the show. Review: Jonas Brothers new album 'Lines, Vines and Trying Times'

Why we care: On their whiningly titled new album, the JoBros air out all the problems inherent with being the richest, cutest, most popular boys in the world. For instance, what’s with all the girls chasing them? And, like, why are so many people talking about them? Plus it’s soooo not as cool making out with Taylor Swift as you might think.
Why we like it: Ditching pure power pop for self-penned drip-hop (a Common cameo!) diet funk (Earth Wind & Fire the Producer) and uncountry (the fauxbilly of What Did I Do to Your Heart), Nick, Joe and Kevin don’t catch like before. This album feels rushed, but more than that, it sounds snotty (don't hate them, 'cause "Hey, America built me"). But at the very least, they sure do goose the gossips, dinging Swift on Much Better (“Now I’m done with superstars / All the tears on her guitar”).
Reminds us of: So Miley Cyrus, who used to date Nick, is best friends with Swift, who used to date Joe. But now Miley is back duetting with Nick on Before the Storm. Drama!

DALY TV: Struck by Lightning Round!

So I graciously go on FOX 13's Lightning Round to give my valuable expert opinion on Adam Lambert, Miley Cyrus, paperless ticketing, etc. And what do I get in return? Guff. Mockery. An in-studio temp of 157 degrees. I gotta hear about how great my colleagues Stephanie Hayes and Ernest Hooper are when they come on the show. And yet, I continue to adore and respect my beloved on-air chums Mark "Eruption" Wilson, Paul "Thunderclap" Dellegatto and Chip "Dead to Me" Carter. Why? Because I'm a big giant TV slut. On with the show!

Ticketmaster provided this video (and its way-perky host) to show you how paperless ticketing will work for the Dec. 1 Miley Cyrus show at the Times Forum in Tampa. It sounds nefarious, but it's not too bad. Tickets (invisible and otherwise) go on sale June 13 at 10 a.m. at ticketmaster.com. Here's all the info.

Miley Cyrus coming to Tampa Dec. 1

Miley Cyrus is bringing her North American Tour to the St. Pete Times Forum in Tampa on Dec. 1. Tickets go on sale Saturday June 13 at 10 a.m. Prices range from $39.50 to $79.50 and can be purchased at ticketmaster.com.

In an interesting move, and one certainly made to mess with the heads and wallets of scalpers, tickets will be "paperless." According to the head-scratching press release, "On the day of the show, concert-goers just need to bring the credit card they used for the ticket purchase and their government-issued photo ID to the concert. All members of the ticket purchaser's party must be present at the same time to enter the venue. The venue's ticket usher will swipe their credit card upon entry and present each person in their party with seat locator slips for quick access into the show."

Yeah, we'll see how "quick" this goes. Sounds like a logistical nightmare. If Mom and Dad buy the ticket for Lil' Miss, the parents don't have to go to the show. But they have to park the car, go to the usher, present their card and get the seat locator slips for the kids and friends. By the way, that show is on a Tuesday -- right around rush hour in downtown Tampa.
