The Stuck in the '80s team of Daly and Spears will be chatting up Anthony Daniels aka C-3PO on Thursday. How cool is that? Eat it up, nerds!
On Nov. 1, at the St. Pete Times Forum, a multimedia 'splosion called "Star Wars: In Concert" will combine an 86-piece symphony, a three-story hi-def video screen showing "the saga" plus narration by Daniels. For tickets and a totally dorktastic preview, go to http://starwarsinconcert.com/.

Hey kids, tomorrow the crack staff of the Stuck in the '80s show will be interviewing Joe Elliott, frontman for Def Leppard. The bawdy Brit boys are coming to Ford Amphitheatre Friday, Aug. 14 with Poison and Cheap Trick. (TICKETS) There's a lot of history with these blokes, both on the stage and under it. The Forever Fiancee is a raving fan, so I knew she's gonna pepper me with queries. But what about all of you Pyromaniacs?

Adam Duritz and his mates in Counting Crows are coming to Ruth Eckerd Hall in Clearwater on Aug. 17 (TICKETS). I've been a fan since the beginning, when I won a copy of 1993's August and Everything After at a crab-eating competition in Ocean City, Md. (Hey, I was lonely and had nothing better to do. This was right before I met the FF. Once I met her, I vowed never again to eat crustaceans for prize money.) I've seen the Crows scads of times, and I usually dig their live sound -- although it irks me to no end when Adam starts ad-libbing during A Murder of One. That song is too good to screw with. Just give it to me straight, man. I'll bug Adam about that when I interview him. But what else should I ask. Now's your chance...

Ludacris, aka rapper-actor-Obama-lovin'-gadly Christopher Bridges, will be giving a "free" concert after the Rays-Nats game at Tropicana Field on June 13. You still have to buy a ticket to watch our boys of summer beat on D.C. butt, but you get to stick around and shake yo rump to such bumpin' Luda hits as Money Maker and my mom's favorite Pimpin' All Over the World. (TICKETS) I like the Hotlanta star a lot, and am looking forward to chatting with him on Friday. He has a new album out this fall (Battle of the Sexes) and has two new movies coming out (Ball Don't Lie and Gamer). But more than that, I wanna ask him about the pressure of playing after a Rays game. After all, Longoria & Co. are 9-0 on Free Concert Night. Luda doesn't want to be the guy who ends that streak. Anyway...

Friday night, 5 p.m. After 39 years of waiting, Sean Daly will finally get to speak to his hero, his guiding light, the great Tom Jones.
On Saturday morning, Sean Daly will announce his retirement, cause really, what else is left after this?
The Welsh Wonder is playing Ruth Eckerd Hall in Clearwater on April 17. (TICKETS) At 68, the man still puts on a helluva show, so don't miss that. Maybe I'll take the FF; she digs him, too.

A long time ago, back when I was still in Toughskins, or at least wide-wale corduroys, I went with my friend James to a delightful movie called Xanadu. About two-thirds of the way through that cinematic gem, I had a startling premonition in my Toughskins (so to speak): One day, I would marry Olivia Newton-John.
Now, I know what you're thinking: Sean, Sean, Sean, you have deep, emotional issues all related to a crushing fear of intimacy, thus leading to your paralyzing inability to connect with anyone, let alone allow yourself to take part in a legal union of souls. In fact, not only did you NOT marry Olivia Newton-John, you haven't even married the poor saint you've tortured for the past 15 years.
To which I say: The Toughskins never lie. In fact, this could be a very pivotal week. My colleague Steve Spears and I will be interviewing the great ONJ, who is playing Clearwater's Ruth Eckerd Hall on March 3 (TICKETS). And who knows? One of my questions just might be a proposal.

Hey kids, crazy day today. I'm heading over to the Super Bowl Media Center for press conferences with Faith Hill, who will sing America the Beautiful before Sunday's big game, and Bruce Springsteen, who's in charge of the halftime festivities. (Then I have the John Legend show tonight.) I'll try to blog some stuff, and there are definitely a couple of columns on the way. But for now: WHO HAS QUESTIONS FOR FAITH HILL? BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN?
