Davis v. Bunkley

Rivals.com rates Armwood defensive lineman Torrey Davis as the top senior in the state of Florida. But in 17 years covering high school sports, I've never seen a more dominant lineman than Chamberlain's Brodrick Bunkley, who recently signed with the Eagles. Do you think Davis can change my mind this season?

When Torrey wants to play he can be unstoppable. Playing every down quick, low and explosive with gap control is the question. He can totally dominate at times. We're hopeful at "The Wood" that there are no plays off this year for him.

Look for Torrey to play three (nose, 3tech tackle, 7tech defensive end) of the four spots on the defensive line for the Hawks. He will be moved around depending on the down and distance. He is able to play any of the positions very well. Most of the time will be spent close to the ball at the noseguard position. We are excited to have such an unbelievable athlete (6'4" 280lbs, 4.71 40yd dash, 400lb bench press).

Having coached against one two years in a row, and the other every day for three years...yes, you will change your mind. Actually, I think that the memories of Bunkley have been tainted by his great college career and his superior performance at the NFL combine.
