ready for some football

Fall practice is nearly two weeks old. What have you guys noticed so far? Any newcomers/transfers? Any key injuries? Who looks good? Tell us.

Comments

three morre transfers to Tarpon one from East Lake and two from Palm harbor. Tarpon is team to beat in 2006

what ever happened with the Worthy Jackson case? Did the state ever do anything with Tarpon?

Palm Harbor did not have any players transfer to Tarpon. You are right they are the team to beat and that is just what Palm Harbor did in the spring game

Many teams are looking right past Palm Harbor, I watched the spring game, they will surprise a lot of teams this year.

ARMWOOD HAWKS- Darell Anderson transfer to start at OLB. Team is predicted to be tops in Hillsborough County again. 2006 looks good on paper so far with 24 kids running under 4.7 40's and 23 benching over 300lbs. Top games will be against Hillsborough (Aug 25), Jefferson (ESPNU- Sept15), and Winter Haven (BrightHouse 47).

St.Petersburg- I attended Northeast's practice a week ago and noticed promising FB Chris Julius along with their Junior quaterback Armando Sanchez. Other players I noticed Javonta Boyd,6'1 senior WR Eric Terrell, and Corey Liehn. Im expexting big things out of this year since being Austin's last season. This Saturday they face off against Gibbs which will be on Brighthouse catch 47 game of the week.

Scouting Report--Northeast Vikings

Key Losses-
Austin Smith
Joey Tribou
Austin Gaines
Hody Hanson

Key Additions
Antwan Carson
Jarez Mitchem
Javonta Boyd

Vikings should be led by seniors Eric Terrell (18 solo tackles last season)but now the new starting WR, Chris Julius (5 TD Last season)promising player he is, and Corey Liehn a fearless competitor. My advice to old Jerry "throw that thing out there and let your athletes go get it."

Predictions- 8-2

hi

It's Friday night and halftime at the East Lake/Largo game. It's tied at 6. Largo came out strong with a spectacular pass and only 2 plays to get their first goal. But the Eagle offense came back with a vengance and tied it up in the 2nd qtr. It seems an interception by the Eagle defense is starting to chip away at the Largo speed machine.

Well, now we know what happened in the Tarpon football case. I can't believe they only found out 15 minutes before game time Friday. It says on the FHSAA notified them on Wednesday 8-16-06.

Well the East Lake Eagles and Largo Packers ended in a tie game at 13. Even with 15 plus penalties Largo held their own. East Lake's running game with Smook at the helm is in full swing. Watch out Tarpon, the Eagles are fired up!

Watch out for Northeast High this year! They have 4 good backs with a powerful Quarterback.....

WOW. OSCEOLA 21, DUNEDIN 14.

I thought Dunedin was supposed to be a big stud team this year. Osceola has not had a winning season in what 5 seasons?

Yeah Dunedin is going to win a state championship this year.

Dunedin played alot of players against Osceola and many of them young one's at that. No one played on both sides of the ball but tis week at Seminole they will be ready.

No good way to spin a loss Dun Dun. It makes you sound pathetic. Best to leave it a alone. Time will tell Dunedin. All I know is no districts for at least 5 years.
