Matt Brown #50 for Countryside Cougars gets my vote!
Posted by: | September 30, 2006 at 01:56 PM
how anyone does not vote for the big tackle from largo is a joke. 6-8 over 300 and can move. It is not even close. The best D1 offensive lineman in the county. But ole Jer will turn the machine on to vote for one of those midget lineman he and C-side O-line coach like so much.
Posted by: | September 30, 2006 at 03:19 PM
The big guy from Largo is Kyle Peters... But my vote goes to #50 from Largo, the center, Travis Feldman. The kids a beast and consistenly dominates. And he's only a junior

Travis Feldman from Largo High School.
Posted by: | September 30, 2006 at 06:18 PM
The kid from Laro is big and will grow into his size in another year or so. But for best lineman right now is D. Mundella at NEHI. This kid is like 6'4" around 285lbs and is athletic as hell. He also is a wrestler. He has won several awards at several different lineman camps.
Posted by: | September 30, 2006 at 06:26 PM
Canterbury, didnt they lose to the Dunedin JR FALCONS this weekend.
Posted by: | September 30, 2006 at 06:35 PM
I vote Dylan Mundella from Northeast. Like Coach Austin said " He is one bad man! He is one bad ride".
Posted by: | September 30, 2006 at 09:50 PM
Dylan Mundella....NEHI....Having coached Dylan at the Pee Wee level for two years I know the kid has Division 1 talent. He anchored the line playing left tackle for NE Bandits 2001 Varsity Pee Wee Championship Team. He was one of the youngest on the team and was already technically sound at the position. So that is why my vote is for him.

Kyle Peters from Largo High School gets my vote.
Posted by: | September 30, 2006 at 11:57 PM
okay the big 6'10" 290 lbs. peters from largo shoudl win this
Posted by: | September 30, 2006 at 11:59 PM
The center from PHU, Alex Smith #50 has terrorized nose tackles and linebackers all season long. May not be as big as Largo's 6'10" tackle, but at 6'1" 260lbs he has opened some nice holes for PHU'S up the middle running.

Posted by: | October 01, 2006 at 12:23 AM
How about John Swann #66 at Tarpon? He is doing a fine job with the Spongers! If he is not the best he is one of the best!
Posted by: | October 01, 2006 at 04:44 AM
Osceola'S Billy Siegler started and played every game with a broken hand - never let it stop him but he sure stopped the other teams in their tracks

Matt Brown Countryside is the best!

Posted by: | October 01, 2006 at 09:00 PM
I haven't seen a much better tackle than Andrew Shallert from Seminole. Not only can he pancake anyone in his way, he's got excellent feet and is one of the best pass blockers in Pinellas County.
Posted by: | October 01, 2006 at 09:04 PM
I was going to say the big kid from Largo until I saw the Mundella kid from Northeast. Very dominating!!! Mundella gets my vote!!!

The Osceola Junior, Billy Siegler protects his QB (Sergio) allowing him to make the pass
Posted by: | October 02, 2006 at 08:01 AM
Dylan Mundella # 71 gets my vote. He usually handles 2 defensive men at a time.
Posted by: | October 02, 2006 at 08:07 AM
Gotta go with #71 Mundella at Northeast High.
Posted by: | October 02, 2006 at 08:27 AM
He seems to have real good footwork and is aware of other players he's trying to block.
Posted by: | October 02, 2006 at 08:31 AM
Dylan Mundella, #71 NEHI.
Posted by: | October 02, 2006 at 08:32 AM
I am writing to say that Steven Reynolds # 62 who plays for Dixie Hollins is the best offensive lineman that I've seen. He displays good footwork and is very aware of the opposing players he's trying to block.
Posted by: | October 02, 2006 at 08:42 AM
Dylan Mundella #71 NEHI is the Beat OL and DL.....Why to go....He has my vote.
Posted by: | October 02, 2006 at 08:51 AM
How about giving I siah Flowers from Tarpon Springs High a little love. The kid is quick and strong as an ox, and he's only a junior! Look out for #71 he's a mauler!
Posted by: | October 02, 2006 at 08:56 AM
Dylan Mundella #71 NEHI is the best OL in the county. He never stops! This kid definetly has a bright future ahead of him.
Posted by: | October 02, 2006 at 09:08 AM
DYLAN MUNDELLA #71, NORTHEAST....
the best OL around....how do we get him to Florida State?
Posted by: | October 02, 2006 at 09:10 AM
Only one name comes to mind...STEVEN REYNOLDS, #62 for Dixie Hollins HS. Solid, focused and aggresive blocking skills.
Posted by: | October 02, 2006 at 09:22 AM
Mundella at NEHI is the best I have seen so far.
Posted by: | October 02, 2006 at 09:33 AM
Cody Hampton #51 from Bogie...He's been a starter since his sophomore season and most of the yards gained go to either side of his position....Best long snapper in the county.
Posted by: | October 02, 2006 at 09:39 AM
Matt Vest #72 (junior) from Boca Ciega is an extremely aggressive blocker an key to the Pirate ground attack.
Posted by: | October 02, 2006 at 09:54 AM
D Mundella # 71 at Northeast - gets my vote, watched him play both offensive and defense.... and did it well.
Posted by: | October 02, 2006 at 09:56 AM
NEHI coaches cranking up the voting machine again. Embarassing. I wonder if they will be smart enough to have the kids use more than 1 IP address this time. Largo puts up 30+ points on a team you lost too. They are averaging 30 a game. You are averaging what 10. Get over your self and you pitful attempt at grabbing the press.
Largo has the biggest and best O-line in the county. That is thier strength.
They have two O-lineman (probably 3) who are better than anyone elses in the county.
I vote for the Largo's big tackle and for and against NEHI's organized slam of the poll each week wether they have a candidate or not.
Posted by: | October 02, 2006 at 10:03 AM
DYLAN MUNDELLA #71, NORTHEAST
I don't know him personally, but I have heard nothing but great things from many people I know. That says a lot! If you are that good that people talk about you in general conversation and they are impressed, then you know he is good... !!!! He gets my vote. Go Dylan, I am going to be watching college football more, I will be looking for your name and watching your progress. NFL???? You can do what you set your mind to. God Bless and Good Luck.
Posted by: | October 02, 2006 at 10:48 AM
Kyel Peters from largo is about the biggest guy out there. he definitely gets my vote.
Posted by: | October 02, 2006 at 10:56 AM
#70 from largo!! go peters!
Posted by: | October 02, 2006 at 10:57 AM
#71 Dylan Mundella NEHI OL is by far the best! Give NEHI a rematch with Dunedin with good playing conditions and see what we got. It's ashame so many people are so jealous of Coach Austin and the Vikings. How many other teams have true "atheletes" that can play both sides of the ball for the entire game and still win?
Posted by: | October 02, 2006 at 10:58 AM
GO PHU!!!!Alex has my vote #50, I do not know any other kid with so much heart as soul into the game
Posted by: | October 02, 2006 at 11:06 AM
goooooooo largo!! they are on fire this year!! my vote goes to big #70 kyle peters!!
Posted by: | October 02, 2006 at 11:11 AM
Best OL in the county should go to
Dylan Mundella of Northeast H.S. He is definately a workhorse and deserves the credit. Largo needs to quit slamming NEHI, and Dylan Mundella. Mundella proves it on the football field and on the wrestling mat, that he is big, strong and very athletic and deserves this title as "Best OL".
Posted by: Randy Yingling | October 02, 2006 at 11:15 AM
Dude largo is killing everyone. this should definitely go to peters #70.
Posted by: | October 02, 2006 at 11:22 AM
umm mundella might be big but comon, hes not 6'10" 300 lbs big... largo is undefeated and #70 should win this poll. they both deserve it.
Posted by: | October 02, 2006 at 11:26 AM
There's a sophomore at Keswick who play offensive tackle. If you've notice the rushing game at Keswick is very domanite. Ethan Engelhardt is 6'4" and weighs 242. He will be one to watch over the next 3 years. Keswick runs DiMaggio behind number 63 much of the time.
Posted by: Chuck Engelhardt | October 02, 2006 at 11:29 AM
Man oh man! I went to the largo vs gibbs game this past week. there was this 7 ft giant there on the OL. he was huge and really agressive! so my vote goes to him, number #70.
Posted by: | October 02, 2006 at 11:38 AM
I would have to put my vote in for a tackle by the name of Ethan Engelhardt from Keswick Christian. Keswick does have the county's leading rusher which says something about the offensive line. He has the size, ability and strength to move anyone out of the way. To make it even better...he is only a sophomore. He is a D-1 prospect and he is only a sophmore. He has a great future ahead of him, as does Keswick!!!

Mundella...#71..he's the man to watch! He'll be a great asset for the GATORS!!!!
Posted by: | October 02, 2006 at 01:31 PM
Size may be a factor when it comes to O-line but you need more. I've watched Matt Brown (CSide) over the past couple of years and he gets my vote. The kid can go from tackle to center and not loose a step. He's tough, playing through injuries, and has good speed.
Posted by: | October 02, 2006 at 02:08 PM

My vote is for DJ Ryder #67, I am a local grad and I goto plenty of football games in Pinellas County. There is alot of talent in this area. The one that stuck out the most was DJ Ryder playing center. He has knocked people over and over, hes very fast and agressive. Good team player out of them all on the offensive line you will see in Pinellas County should goto a big school

We have all heard about Mundello, Shallert, Peters and Brown But in my opinion you need to look out for Steven Reynolds from Dixie Hollins. I think he is the best all around tackle out there, just ask all the defensive ends he has faced. He gets my vote
Posted by: | October 02, 2006 at 07:05 PM
i pick the whole o-line from largo. they are all huge and been helping to rack up the points in every game. largo is the best in the county. i think they deserve some credit.

Peters from largo is 6'10. Size sure isn't everything. Andy Schallert has technique and speed. He fills up on pancakes every friday night!
Posted by: | October 02, 2006 at 07:36 PM
Mundella is the best o-lineman. He has the size and the quickness to create holes for his team mates. Remember he plays for Austin with Wing-T Master.
Posted by: | October 02, 2006 at 07:48 PM
My vote goes to D.J. Ryder, who has annihilated and torn up the feild the past three years with his exceptional passing, running and defense skills and has showed these skills with the help of his positive attitude and mind-set determination.

Posted by: J. Avey | October 02, 2006 at 07:58 PM
Ok size is a big deal with O-lineman but im going to go with Matt Brown from CSIDE a true player who is undersized but has better technique then any other linemen in the county and he can block on the edges or in the middle of the trenches blocking for the second best running attack and best passing attack in the county he is the anchor.

I have to say that Steven Reynolds from Dixie Hollins is one of the best. My vote is for him
Posted by: H. Froid | October 02, 2006 at 08:23 PM
lets see would I rather take Largo's 6'7" not 6'10" tackle who only benches 295 and cant squat but 405 and cant move fast enough to block an end at the next level. Or a 6'4" 285lb kid who can bench 395 squat a little over 500 and can out wrestle any heavy weight in the county. HMMMMM!!! The mundella kid is a stud he can out perform many running backs in agility drills, he has won several awards at very reputable camps like the down and dirty, Alstotts lineman camp a few others. The largo kid may grow into his size in another year or so but Mundella is there already and can play at the next level at mare than one position. Mundella gets my vote

Cody Hampton from Boca Ciega High School. Not only was he the starting center for a very volatile offense last year, but he was named the team's offensive lineman of the year. This year his long snaps are outstanding, and everytime they run right up the middle, they are getting big gains.

Billy Siegler #61 Osceola High School. He has played with injuries. Osceola's record (4-1) shows how hard the entire O line has worked this season.
Posted by: | October 02, 2006 at 11:11 PM
okay so dont even talk about dunedin, clw or dixie being better than largo -- largo crushed both of them. they have an amazing line lead by peters -- he rocks and gets my vote.

Posted by: Chelsea Ward | October 03, 2006 at 12:02 PM
Obviously DJ Ryder is the best choice here.
Posted by: Krista | October 03, 2006 at 12:13 PM
peters is a rare kid I will admitt and i would take him on my team any day, but he is to tall and is not very athletic. The Mundella kid is a big and ATHLETIC kid who can move all around the field. This kid is the real deal. This is probly the best question the times has asked so far.
I want to see a Largo Countryside game so everyone will jump off the C-side banwagon. They have always been just a little above average team. I really think largo is going to the state playoffs.
Posted by: | October 03, 2006 at 12:33 PM
Andrew Shallert is the best Tackle. Trust me, he gives me time to pass every game and I have yet to take a blind side hit.
Posted by: Tyler Bradley #5 | October 03, 2006 at 12:35 PM
D Mundella #71 he is a beast on the field. He has quick feet and is able to respond quickly to situations, just ask the Lakewood defense.

There is alot of good young kids out here in Pinellas County, one of my favorites is the Ryder kid #67 out of Clearwater. Not saying anything about anyone else but the boy plays both sides of the field, when he plays the o-line he is a hard person to get by. He runs you over, it dont matter how big you are to him, watch his highlights and you will see 6'2 265 my votes in for Ryder

Ryder had what 2 or 3 unsportsman like conduct penalties against C-side?
He was cheap and not anywhere near as good as 2 or three guys from Largo.
Big Tackle from Largo is D1 Ryder is D1 AA.
Largo tackle 6'8" 300 Ryder 6'2" 265.
COme on get real.
Largo tackle all the way.

Posted by: | October 03, 2006 at 05:26 PM
DJ Ryder is a whistle to whistle player and he can't help it if he was playing a bunch of whiney girls at Cside last week
Posted by: | October 03, 2006 at 05:32 PM
I do some work in the Pinellas County area on Prep football and I went to the Largo and Clearwater game and from what I seen and on tape that Peters played average while everyone says Ryder is small, Peters is a big boy but he needs to use his size more like Ryder at 6'2 plays like he is 6'10 like Peters, both good players and wish both luck to them and just to be fair the nonsense on here about talking about all these players and putting them down is not good. So do the right thing.
Posted by: Jack Drew | October 03, 2006 at 05:33 PM
Billy Siegler of Osceola he gives his all on and off the field. remember the Pinellas Park Game. He gave it twice.
Posted by: | October 03, 2006 at 06:00 PM
Why is everyone stacking the vote for this rider kid when Andy Shallert is the one deserving all the votes.
Posted by: | October 03, 2006 at 06:31 PM

Andy who??? The Ryder thats how you spell his name first of all remember that, watch him play and you will see. At 6'2 265 running people of twice his size tells just a little about the kid
Posted by: | October 03, 2006 at 06:50 PM
I agree with 6:48.....there are a lot of votes coming either at the same time or a minute in between....Lets make sure that all of the lineman in this county get a fair shot at this and not send 10 votes from one person.

Nick Maliska Shorecrest Preparatory
He is the only reason that shorecrest gets any yards rushing as he anchors the line
Posted by: | October 03, 2006 at 10:46 PM
Lets take it back to Tarpon High. While they aren't the number one team in the county, they have a huge 6'3" lineman, number 45, George Van Riper. Come watch one of TSHS's games and you'll see him standing out. I believe he's the top recruit at the high school, and it shows why. My vote goes out to him.
