Pasco football coach

Pasco is searching for a new football coach to replace Dale Caparaso.
First off, WHY NO PINELLAS CANDIDATES???
Second, can any of these guys turn Pasco around? If not, who would make a good fit?
Here are the applicants:

Current head coaches:
Mark Nash (Hudson)
Ron Paul (Wellsville (Ohio) High)

Former head coaches:
Terry Voyles (Hudson)
Bill Browning (Hernando)
Bud Hodgens (Robinson)
James Haynes (Palmetto)

Assistant coaches:
Mike Penix (Pasco)
Tom McHugh (Wesley Chapel)
Tom Carter (Land O'Lakes)
Jeremy Shobe (Zephyrhills)
Rodney Bird (Hernando)

JV coaches:
Artie Meza (Zephyrhills)

Why no Pinellas candidates? The negative stigma that Pinellas coaches are subpar may have reached Dade City therefore they probably would not be taken seriously. Also it is far out of the region for these guys.

There are Candidates on the list that could turn this talent rich program around:

Ron Paul? Dont know much about him will have to do some reseach.

Bud Hodgens: Has turned a doormat into a winner before and groomed D-1 talent. He should be highly regarded

Mark Nash: Everything he touches turns into gold. Plus he is a disciplanarian which is what this program needs.

James Haynes: The culture of his current team will allow him to relate better to the dade city atmosphere.

I think that all the canidtaes so far are good...but a coach that needs to really be sought after is Dedrick Dodge at Victory Christian...he is an an inspired coach who has lead his past 2 teams to state championships in class 1A....he has the charisma, intensity, leadership, and most of all he makes kids wanna listen to him about what he is talking about and they do what is necessary to win football games...Mark Nash is another coach who def. should also be up there in canidates...he took his 2005 squad to the region finals and is building a pretty good program over at Hudson High School.....and also applicants from out of state will come up so they should be highly considered ...maybe they will find that right coach who can take them back to the 1992 promise land of a 3A state championship game.

Andy Dodge would be a great coach anywhere But I think he is happy where he is.

Yeah thats true...he does seem like he likes where he is at but it would be great if he went to Pasco. But Mark Nash is a pretty good fit there cause he knows Pasco County football and he knows how to win.

Andy we agree there

If Nash wants that Job he is the no nonsense offensive minded guy who could make Pasco a winner again.

The only problem that I am concerned with Pasco is the loss of Talent to Wesley Chapel and Wiregrass. Is there still enough Beef and talent in Dade City to get Pasco back as a state contender.

My guess is no but with a coach like Nash I bet he could work wonders with the talent that they do have.

Probably because no pinellas coaches want to coach in Pasco

Why was Coach Caparaso let go?

He lost control of the team and they werent winning

how to you lose control of a high school football team? the only way is if you want to,you coach they play coach up the ones who want to do it the rest release them. you do not lose control of a team , you take control of the team.some people may say that is old school but it works.

I played on Pasco's state champ team when Perry Brown was the coach and I'm sure that with all the talent in Dade City he could easily take them back to where they were. Too bad he's not a canidate. I think Nash would be a great fit for Pasco though. I think he could take care of all the big egos. Caparaso was the worst thing to ever happen to Pasco. You can't compare Northern football to Florida football. Gulf's football team could proabably win state up there.

well gulf has turned it around under fulmer so far so lets not go to far with that....but they need a coach who is as respected as can be and has a greta offensive mind cause they have speed to burn and they do have big linemen who can spring them to the endzone.they just have to have someone bring it all together.

Another bad choice! Tom McHugh. Never even heard of him. Think they should've gone with Nash

Tom McHugh? Are u kidding me?Maybe they need a new athletic director or whoever is making these stupid decisions. Look forward to another few years of losing football for Pasco.
