Who's the best?
Brandon Wright, Times Staff Writer: There are a number of excellent teams in Pinellas County, but from what I've seen this year, Palm Harbor is the best. They are tactical, have multiple scoring options and have a pair of outstanding goalkeepers. That said, I think Countryside, East Lake, Shorecrest, St. Petersburg and Clearwater Central Catholic all have a good shot at reaching the Final Four. Pinellas County had four representatives last season (PHU, St. Petersburg, CCC and Shorecrest) and could very well equal that number again this year.

How about Seminole High School who won the PCAC championship??
They beat Countryside, St. Pete and East Lake this year!!!

Yes, Seminole could certainly be thrown into that mix. They are well coached and probably have the best goalkeeper in the area. I wouldn't be suprised if they make a deep run through the playoffs.

RE: CCC VS MELBOURNE WEST SHORE GIRLS SOCCER CAN YOU EXPLAIN WHY CCC, WITH A BETTER RECORD) MUST TRAVEL TO MELBOURNE, WITH A LESSER RECORD, A FIELD WITHOUT LIGHTS, REQUIRING A 3 HOUR EARLIER STARTING TIME 4:00 IN LIEU OF 7:00,EFFECTIVELY PROHIBITTING ANY CCC FANS FROM ATTENDING? I'D LIKE TO KNOW THE NAME OF THE MORON RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS RIDICULOUS SITUATION.

I think the coverage of Shorecrest's Varsity Soccer team has been pretty pathetic. Second visit to States in a row, and there hasn't been an article or picture about it. We have big coverage of softball, which is just beginning and lots of talk about boys soccer tournament, but this team has been completely overlooked. The best we have gotten is a paragraph after beating an undefeated team in Regionals.
Why is this? What do they have to do to get recognized? Did you know that their sweeper, Kim Newton, is also an impact outside hitter on Gulf Coast Juniors Club Volleyball 18'2 Travel team that will be competing in the Sandspurs tournament this weekend in Tampa?
The Tampa Tribune has highlighted Tampa Prep many times, What does Shorecrest need to accomplish to be recognized?
