Corral Stadium Set For Makeover
Jesuit High president Joseph Doyle announced Thursday morning the school will install a synthetic turf field and rubberized track at its on-campus stadium. The project will be funded by a combination of school financing and individual contributions.
Additionally, the field -- used for football, soccer, track and lacrosse -- will be re-named Alumni Field at Corral Memorial Stadium. It is anticipated the renovations will be completed in time for the 2007 football season.

They should have named the field "Bill Minahan Field" at Corral Memorial Stadium for the man that built that program and worked his entire professional life molding, coaching and inspiring Jesuit athletes.

Jesuit High School has helped many young men become leaders in our community. Many of those leaders are politicians, businessmen, military, professional athletes, clergy, school teachers & coaches (at Jesuit and many other local schools), just to name a few. Those men have taken the lessons they learned to better their own communities.
The naming of "Alumni Field" couldn't be more appropriate. As any coach will tell you, its about the players not the coaches. The name honors all those who walked the school halls for four years, and made memories that will last a lifetime.
Good job Jesuit, and thank you.

JHS Fan? or are you the new alumni coordinator and the new defensive coordinator?? stop being a mark and by simply posting some some bureuacratic statements. Coach "Wild Bill" is a legend who is not only in the U.T hall of fame, , Florida HS hall of fame, but is a true poster boy for organ donation, having a kidney transplant for over 21 years!! and yes there is no doubt that the the field should be named after him and no one else. Lets not even get into the only Man to EVER win a State football championship years before you were even born
