Jaguars Fall in 3A Semis
Thwarted by a superior inside game, the Academy of the Holy Names girls basketball team's season ended Wednesday afternoon with a 74-55 loss to defending state champion Tallahassee Florida High in the Class 3A semifinals at The Lakeland Center.
The defeat ended the brilliant prep careers of Jaguars twins Gianna and Catriana Messina, who now are headed for the University of South Florida and the University of Tampa, respectively. Gianna led all scorers Wednesday with 25 points.
Florida High (26-5), broke open an otherwise close game by outscoring Holy Names, 29-12, in the second quarter. University of Alabama signee Varisia Raffington led the Seminoles with 17 points, while 6-foot senior Jayme Warner had a double-double (11 points, 11 rebounds).

hahaha good. they needed to lose and lose bad. it was nice to see them lose to spc but sucked to see them win by 1 at the last minute to them again. i am so glad they got their dreams shattered. the twins are dirty players, who next year, wont know how to handle anything that is coming to them.
