Lakewood will play for another state title.

The Spartans overcame foul trouble and a third quarter deficit to beat Lee 57-44 in the 5A state semifinal at Lakeland Wednesday night.

The Spartans (29-2) were led by the stellar play of senior guard Ed Nixon, who scored 28....Anthony Dorsey added 14.

Lakewood will play the Lake Howell-Dillard winner Friday at 7 for their third state championship in six years. If the Spartans can pull it out, it'd be their third state title in six years...
