Signing, Signing, Everywhere A Signing

As a brief reprieve from the onslaught of spring-sports playoff action, we present all of the county's recent local signings (or at least the ones we know of):

Thomas Parrott, Plant (football): Northern State (Aberdeen,S.D.)

Devinn Adams, Riverview (football):  Fairmont State

Malcom Shavers, Riverview (football): Glenville State

Kyle Stephen, Riverview (football): Glenville State

Chris Luther, Riverview (football): Carnegie-Mellon

Kyle Eastham, Riverview (baseball): South Florida

Wigburto Vazquez, Riverview (baseball): South Florida CC

Tony Suarez, Riverview (baseball): South Florida CC

Eliana Nevarez, Riverview (soccer): Thomas University

And finally, our personal favorite:

Andrew Darst, Jesuit (basketball): Rensselaer Polytechnic Institue

Gotta love a basketball program with the initials RPI. Seriously, Darst departs Jesuit as one of the Tigers' most successful players (1,202 career points, record 102 varsity starts).

"What I really liked about Andrew is that he makes the other four men on the court better," RPI coach Michael Griffin said. "He can score, but his court vision and unselfishness will make Andrew an exceptional college player."
