Loucks commits to FSU

Clearwater's Luke Loucks, one of the nation's top-ranked junior point guards, orally committed to Florida State tonight. Previously, he had narrowed his choices to the Seminoles, Georgia Tech, USF and St. Joseph's. Loucks was a first-team all-county selection who averaged 14 points and seven assists.

good luck to Luke. He will get treated like a king at FSU and play high level ball in the ACC. but he wont win squat there. FSU will always be 18-12. They just cant get over hump. I doubt he will ever make the NCAA tourney at FSU.

I just hope he stays unlike the last guy from St. Pete to go there.

Clearwater High already has 3 rising Seniors in 3 sports committed to D1 Schools - That is a great start to the class of 2008. I believe along with Luke is a female soccer player,Brittni, going to App State and the Salava kid to Belmont in Nashville.

great choice for loucks,fsu structure allows individual play,pushing the ball,allows a few turnovers in the process.this should be perfect for luke and a great asset to the team play of fsu,mark my words,he will start by the end of his freshmen year .this will be a nice accomplishment coming off a state championship.

Luke has no future in basketball. He is average in Pinellas County. When he goes to the ACC he will be embarased. He should have stuck to football.

Yeah I agree. A lot more potential to play at a pro level as a football player.

The only way Luke will win a state championship is if he goes to Lakewood cause it won't be with Clearwater. You could add Lebron to clearwater but they wouldn't win with that coach.

one thing loucks will never do--lose a game to park---why do you keep talking about park and elite talent in the county--maybe if theres a bowling log. and all 3 ct big men are stronger than anyone at park.take your shots at tarpon,they are more your equal.by the way,why all the scouts at chs and not park,seems they see something special... 3 of the 4 seniors at clearwater were offered basketball scholarships next year...how about at park.the closest to special you will get is special ed.

Whoever is making the good predictions for PPark, thank you. However, we don't want to get caught up into all the bashing of teams and players. Yes, Clearwater should beat PPark! Yes, they have D-1 prospects. But if PPark does win, it will be because of teamwork, defense, hustle and the understanding of how to play the game the right way!! (As is how they will play against any team next year!) We are not saying we're the best, just doing our best to be successful! Congrats to Luke!! He is a great player and deserves it!

First off all Jesse Woods is a best down low he held adam pegg to like 4 points and 4 rebounds both games he played... Ppark is defintly the team to watch out for this year they could do some big things
