Mitchell baseball keeps it in the house

Mitchell High School has promoted junior varsity coach Scott Wilcox to its head baseball position, replacing Scott Williams, who resigned two weeks ago.

Wilcox guided the Mustang jayvee team to an 8-4 record this season, pretty good considering all the best sophomores were already starting for one of the county's youngest teams. Wilcox inherits a team deep in young pitching talent.
