Largo goes national

Sports Illustrated arrived today, and guess what the Sign of the Apocalypse is this week?

Go on. Guess.

Nope. Nope. And nope.

It's this: "A few days after the patriots' spying scandal, the brother of the coach of Largo (Fla.) High's football team was caught impermissibly filming a future opponent.''

So there yas go. Run for your lives. The apokalupsis eschaton  is coming.

No such thing as bad press!!!!!

Idiot. It is high school football not Kathy Griffin trying to get ratings for a reality TV show.

Press for cheating in a high shcool program is an embarssment for Largo, and Pinellas County football.

Shocking. Another publication on this one issue, and another sub par friday preview edition of the high school games tonight. EVERYONE knows about the Largo filming incident. Can we move on and read about something else?

If it's harming or insulting and involves non-professional athletics, you can count on John C. Cotey to pile on. Reminds of the critic who's always first with the bad news and then you ask, "Have you ever actually played?"

Maybe he didn't get enough warmth from Mommy and Daddy growing up? No wonder he got assigned to the Northen most outpost of circulation and given high profile BOXING as his assignment.

Yeah I'm on a rant but for God's sake even Gary Shelton writes something positive on occasion!

What is that saying? Oh yeah...don't shoot the messenger.....you people have to face the fact that the Largo coaching staff screwed up big time....and deal with the fallout....your team isn't so perfect...they cheat sometimes to get where they are.....

I am fine with what you said. What I am not fine with is how many articles have to be written on it. Largo screwed up, the times has misreported a lot of facts in the case, its time to move on!

Misreported what? Everything that has been reported has been off an official statement or a direct quote. And for the record, we have written two stories on it. Thats it.

THEY LOVE TO SLAM LARGO FOR ANYTHING NEGATIVE. DIDN'T GET THIS MUCH PRESS AFTER BREAKING SCHOOL AND COUNT RECORDS
