Reader's Choice Awards!

Midseason is here. Just about.

Next week, we'll have our midseason reports, with a special edition PrepCast Roundtable and a column breaking it all down. But here's where YOU come in.

You heard me: YOU.

Send me your top 5:
Teams.
Players.
Surprises.
Disappointments.
Best coaching jobs.
Best plays that you saw.
Unsung heroes.
Best 3 predictions for the second half.

And anything else that struck your fancy from the first half. You're going to have to email this to johnccotey@gmail.com, as we don't want this becoming some huge flame war by anonymous posters in the comments section. But we will protect your anonymity if you request so in your e-mails. If you wanna be heard, be heard. We'll compile the results and reveal them on the PrepCast, the blog, maybe in the column.

Call it our Reader's Choice Awards. Anything posted in the comments will not be eligible.

Remember, johnccotey@gmail.com. Hit me up.

Speak now or forever hold your peace. post anonymously in the comments below.

Top 5 Teams:
1. Armwood ( 5-0 ) - Ahh..... duhhh.
2. Plant ( 3-1 ) - Hey losing to Armwood doesn't look so bad after all
3. Largo ( 4-0 ) - Almost upset by Dunedin...ALMOST.
4. Hillsborough ( 5-0 ) - Got Talent?
5. Ridgewood ( 4-0 ) - Arline NEXT bus rolls again vs Gulf....... Next.

Top 5 players

1. Jeff Brinson ( Northeast ) - Brinson was stopped!! Wait he had a bye and watched the USF game, never mind
2. Aaron Murray ( Plant ) 3,000 passing yards looks like a real possibility....by week 8
3. Eric Smith ( Armwood ) Too consistent not to be on here.
4. Orhian Johnson ( Boca Ciega ) When you run a 4.4, and play quarterback, and safety, how much more can I name?
5. Bryonell Arline ( Ridgewood ) He's a good running back, if you like someone who is 6'0, 230 pounds, laser rocket speed, hey is Peyton Manning doing this commercial?

Top 5 surprises

1. Tampa Bay Tech - Come on, who knew TBT would start off 3-0, did you?
2. David Williams ( Gulf ) Coaches knew he was good, but not 1,200 yards through 5 games good.
3. Crystal River beating Nature Coast 18-15 - I mean really, did that happen? I still think I am sleeping, because I think NCT did during that game.
4. Gibbs ( 3-2 record ) So Gibbs Lincoln has done a great job so far, wait wait Yusuf Shakir isn't in Tallahasse anymore.
5. Sickles ( 4-1 record ) Playoffs? you talking about playoffs, playoffs?!? ( courtesy of Jim Mora )

Top 5 Disappointments

1. Jefferson - We know, we know, Garcia left, but still Jefferson has A LOT to live up to.
2. Wharton - Losing to Sickles may not be a bad thing, but for Wharton its not a good thing either.
3. Pasco - State Championship 1992, enough said for the Dade City fateful
4. Riverview - Well they have lost to some quality teams, but then again Riverview is a quality team.
5. Pinellas Park - Vince Lombardi has a message, " What the hell is going on out there!"

Top 5 Coaching Jobs

1. Corries Culpepper ( Tampa Bay Tech ) What a job he has done to lead them to a 4-1 record.
2. Kenneth Lombardia ( Sickles ) What a job he has done to lead them to a 4-1 record, is there an echo in here?
3. Yusuf Shakir ( Gibbs ) Gibbs beating Countryside really surprised everyone in Pinellas, I mean EVERYONE.
4. John Benedetto ( Land O'Lakes ) Hasn't he done this coaching thing pretty good the past 35 years?
5. Jay Fulmer ( Gulf ) Who needs Alton Voss when you got David Williams.

Best 3 predictions

1. Armwood will go 10-0, hey its a best prediction right?
2. David Williams will break 2,000 yards rushing, wouldn't that be some kind of record in Pasco?
3. Land O'Lakes will make the playoffs, I mean how many times has that happened?

Brynn Harvey doesnt make the top players list? Keep writing and NOT watching high school football. If Brinson is 1 Harvey is at least 5! He has 300 less yards and 20 something less carries....
