Holloway a BC lock?

Tp_273250_free_hil_jefferso

Jefferson star Max Holloway committed to Boston College three months ago, but left the door open to the possibility of him attending another school -- Florida. "If Florida offers, that's where I'm going to go," Holloway told the Times in October. "Florida has always been my dream school."

His stance apparently has changed.

Holloway told EagleAction.com over the weekend that's he's definitely headed to Boston. Not only that, but he plans to enroll in January.

"I committed to Boston College and I was still open to Florida and no one else," Holloway said in an interview with the publication. "They were real interested in me and then another person committed and they were like, 'The only way I can get a scholarship is if someone doesn't sign with them.' I'm not going to wait for that. I'm happy at BC. I'm not even thinking about Florida now. BC is where I'm going for sure. That's where I want to be."

The 6-foot-3, 240-pound Holloway was one of the area's top defenders this fall. For his efforts, he was named to the Times' All-Hillsborough County first team.
