Armwood's Sollazzo named district POY

Tp_279744_cass_armwoodsolazzo_2Armwood basketball coach Jeff Pafunda announced Wednesday that Hawks senior point guard Adam Sollazzo was selected District 13 Player of the Year, an honor that goes to the county's top senior, as selected by the public and private school coaches.

Sollazzo, who averages 22 points per game, has developed into one of the bay area's top point guards. He'll go for a milestone Thursday night; he's six points shy of 1,000 for his career as the Hawks set to face Riverview on "Senior Night."

Pafunda said Tampa Prep senior swingman David Waller was the runner-up.
