Boyd commits to Kansas State
Northeast's Javontae Boyd, one of the top defensive lineman in the area, orally committed to Kansas State on Monday.
Boyd said he made up his mind last week after Wildcats defensive line coach Mo Lattimore stopped by school and head coach Ron Prince flew in a private jet to visit.
"I was impressed," Boyd said.
Boyd canceled visits to Troy and North Carolina State.

Congrats Boyd, Sorry your coaches didnt help you.
Example
3 obvious D-1 kids and no early graduates. That is only a lack of coaches and guidence not getting kids in the proper classes. NE and alot of other schools only care about gettingkids in school so they can say I have this many kids playing college footbal.
Coaches have little to do with d-1 kids getting rides. If the kid is good they find him isnt that what you coaches always say. So how can you take credit for getting the kids in college. All credit should go to the kids and their parents. If there are no parents then kudos for the kids even more.
Sorry Boyd but I am tired of coaches trying to take credit for your accomplishments.

I disagree Coach Crawford at Northeast works very hard promoting the kids! & not only the Viking players, but kids from all over Pinellas county.

Crawford promotes kids for his ego and is very annoying to alot of college coaches.
