Gallon playing the waiting game
Plant senior receiver Cornelius Gallon can't help but be a little stressed over the recruiting process.
Gallon, one of the bay area's top receivers, was having a career season last fall - 33 catches, 714 yards in eight games -- when he suffered a season-ending knee injury (a torn ACL).
Gallon's production - and profile as one of Plant's top receivers -- would have likely garnered him some more interest heading into signing day. But he said of the two offers he received this fall - Central Michigan and Temple - just one (Temple) remains.
"I'm not worried about it - just a little stressed," Gallon said. "I've got faith that everything is going to work out."
Gallon is out of his cast and four months from full recovery, he said - "I'm 60-percent." He's been working hard to rehab his injured left knee, and is confident he'll be ready to go by next fall, when he hopes he'll be in a college uniform.
Gallon, a Times first team All Suncoast selection, had already visited Temple last fall, and doesn't have any more set up. But he said he'll just wait it out and see what else may come his way before signing day.
