Johnson sets up final visit

Largo defensive back Leonard Johnson will visit West Virginia this weekend.

Johnson said he was deciding whether to take his final recruiting trip to Michigan or WVU. The Wolverines made his decision for him.

Packers coach Rick Rodriguez said Michigan recruiter Greg Frey told him there were no more scholarships available for players in the defensive secondary.

Johnson already has visited Iowa State, Troy, USF and Ole Miss.

Was there no way you could work Rich Rodriguez and Rick Rodriguez into the same sentence? You could have at least tried.

Really.......Rick and Rich how funny could that have been

No. It is Rick Smith. Yeah both real character guys. The kid would fit rit in.

Let me guess. You're from one of the teams that Rodriguez kicked the crap out of.

make largo proud johnson

Leonard it the real deal. He was Pinellas county's version of superman. As an EL parent and seeing him play twice, he single handedly beat us in round one playoff's when we held Harvey to 85 yds. Ole Miss and Iowa State are much better academic schools than USF and Troy. Good luck.

johnson cannot read. had class with him. he will never get in

good luck
largo will be following you

If he passes on USF I would reccomend he think about Troy. The coaching staff is great there and they have a nasty schedule. He would be joining our boy DuJuan Harris who got a lot of playing time as a Freshman. Plus, they have been producing solid NFL playhers every year. Good luck LJ!

I saw him play this year against my son....let me just say this: He would be wasting his time at those smaller schools like Iowa St and Troy. He needs to go to a up and coming powerhouse like W. Virginia. Their defense would be perfect for this stud. Good luck and make us proud!

he isnt smart enough to play at the big schools

He is a honor roll student who happens to also be a very good football player he already has a qualifying ACT score if he was as marginal student as some of you haters claim do you really think that USF Iowa State West Virginia and Troy would be wasting time on him whoever is posting lies about his academic defiencies get back to making fries your break is over
