Plant's Sanderson headed back to Michigan
Plant senior offensive tackle Rhonne Sanderson may have seen snow for the first time last weekend at Michigan State.
But after Sanderson's latest offer, he may have to get used to the cold.
Sanderson said that Michigan has offered him a visit for Feb. 2nd, one week after he's scheduled to go to Florida State. Sanderson, a Times first-team all county lineman, said the Wolverines will likely offer him on his trip, like the rival Spartans did last weekend.
And, just like that, Michigan has made Sanderson's "top-three" - which includes FSU and MSU - pretty formidable.
"I like it a lot," Sanderson said of Michigan. "A lot of big-time offensive linemen come out of there. They're kind of like a powerhouse with a lot of history and tradition."
-- JOE SMITH

But a degree from Michigan trumps ANY Florida school.....always. No need to be pompous, it is the truth.

Well then, that was their own fault for not choosing a degree is something worthwhile. Regardless of what college you attend, you should study something that will get you a job when your football days are over. That is their choice. Funny though, every football player that I know from Michigan has a job.

According to Jim Harbaugh, he has friends from his playing days who can't get a job, because of how big of a joke Michigan's education is for football players. Most of them have majors that won't do anything for them in the real world.

Michigan will always be the Harvard of the Midwest, a degree from Michigan still has a great deal of cache, something that NO Florida school will EVER have. And perhaps the kids from Florida that go to such a fine school do well because they are finally being taught things instead of just passing through with their mediocre education from a Florida school. Get out of the state as fast as you can.......but you still have to have the grades to even get in to U of M......hope that they do.

2 comments: (1) Mr. Smith - in your 1st sentence, I believe the correct verb form would be "Sanderson may have SEEN snow". (2) If a football player is looking for a "great" General Studies degree, then the U of M is the place to be. If one looks at the majors of their FB team members, a degree in General Studies dominates. And if one thinks that will be reduced during the "DickRod" regime, one is arguably dillusional.

"If you can go Blue...why consider anywhere else? Still have to have top notch grades to get in to THE U of M..."
Ha, ha . . . that is complete B.S. Michigan' football program specializes in keeping players eligible . . . . countless players have had borderline grades in high school and yet have no problems in Ann Arbor . . . inegrity and UM's football program do not belong in the same sentence.

Why would anyone go play for Shredder? Win or lose, he'll only be there for 3 years. And that's if he doesn't get fired first for scandals. I hope kids are taking this into consideration.
