Riverview DL could make a Sharks trio

Riverview nose guard Roman Rodriguez may follow the path of a former Sharks lineman to his college destination.

Rodriguez, a 5-foot-9, 230-pound senior, is planning on making a trip this weekend to Carson-Newman, a Division II program in Tennessee, Sharks coach Dan O'Regan said. O'Regan said the school is looking at using Rodriguez as a fullback.

Former Shark Brian Tolison went to Carson-Newman in 2005.

"Roman runs a 4.5 40, is really strong - benched like 350," O'Regan said. "He's a real powerful little kid."

O'Regan said Elon is coming in this week to visit with Sharks tailback John Green. The Sharks star tailback, Jahleel Addae, will choose between Central Michigan and Iowa State on signing day next week after decommitting to West Virginia.

Riverview defensive lineman Quincy Barr has already committed to Hofstra.
