Terriers racking up commitments..who's next?
The conference table at Hillsborough High's signing day ceremony will likely need to be a long one.
With defensive end Moses McCray (Florida State), defensive back Andreas Ashwood (Toledo), safety Chuck Grace (FIU) already solid commitments, there appears to be at least five more Terriers that could land with collegiate programs.
As reported in Monday's Times, senior linebacker Marc Thomas could very well follow his brother, Ricky Ponton, who will try to resurrect his career at Georgia Southern. Thomas is getting a visit from Georgia Southern coaches today, and will make a trip there to campus this weekend.
Hillsborough coach Earl Garcia said defensive back Eric Fennell, lineman Antonio McKay and tailback Iziah Wyche have all received interest from Webber International.
The Terrier most under the radar could be Charlie Hughlett, the team's all-conference center and deep snapper. Hughlett, a 6-foot-4, 225-pound senior, has been offered walk-on spots at both South Florida and UCF.
"He's gonna be a big son of a gun," Garcia said.
