Winter books trip to Iowa
Plant senior Derek Winter, one of the state's top receivers, is gearing up for two big weekends.
Winter, who will visit Auburn this weekend, received a visit Wednesday by Iowa head coach Kirk Ferentz in Tampa. Winter said they asked him to visit the Iowa campus on Jan. 25, which he plans to do.
"I liked what the coach had to say," Winter said. "I'm going to have some stuff to think about."
Winter has already received offers from USF and Army. He said he may drop by USF campus sometime this month for a visit.
