Bloomy guard ready for 3-point shootout

Bloomingdale guard Sean Hayes will be taking part in the Class 5A 3-point shootout in just a few minutes here at The Lakeland Center. The 6-foot junior will go up against three other competitors, each of whom reached state by advancing through district and regional competition.

The 5A 3-point champion will compete again Saturday in the state's King-of-the-Hill shootout.

At the district shootout, Hayes made 11 of 15 shots. He connected on 10 shots at regionals.

Hayes averaged 12 points a game for the Bulls. He made 42 percent of his 3-pointers.

"I was nervous at regionals, but now I'm ready," Hayes said.
