Bucs upset Bulldogs on the road
Softball season started Tuesday with an upset on the North Suncoast.
Gulf powered its way to a 6-4 extra innings win at Zephyrhills knocking off a Bulldogs team expected to compete for a state tournament berth. Now the Bucs are in the conversation.
Gulf squandered a 4-1 lead thanks to some timely Bulldogs offense. But in the eighth inning, the Bucs used some precision moves to win the game. Devon Fellman scored from third base thanks to a squaeeze bunt from Taylor Bruckner for a 5-4 lead in the eighth inning. Then Bruckner scored from first on a Sarah Hill grounded that made it to the fence. Gulf shut down Zephyrhills in the bottom half of the inning to secure the win.

I wish I was there. I heard I missed a Great game opener for Gulf.
