Harrell finds home at Arkansas-Pine Bluff

961_logo_3Plant senior James Harrell III, a standout on both sides of the ball, has signed with Arkansas-Pine Bluff. The 5-foot-11, 195-pound Harrell played cornerback and wide receiver for the Panthers.

"James is absolutely one of the great athletes in Hillsborough County," Plant coach Robert Weiner said.

BluffA Division I-AA program, Arkansas-Pine Bluff was 4-7 last season. The Golden Lions play in the Southwestern Athletic Conference. Harrell's father, James Harrell II, is Plant's defensive coordinator.

"He definitely has his best football still in front of him," Weiner said. "I look forward to him having a great college career."
