Another Gator bound for W. Georgia
It appears Land O'Lakes two-way star John Weatherford, who recently committed to West Georgia, will have some company at the next level.
Weatherford told the Times this morning Gators teammate Ely Payne -- who played quarterback, defensive back and even some wide receiver last season -- also has committed to the Division II program in Carrollton, Ga.
Payne couldn't immediately be reached, but while snooping around the Land O'Lakes coach's office this morning, we did overhear Gators coach John Benedetto on the phone with new Wolves coach Daryl Dickey.
We'll provide more details as we get them.
