Potent Plant bats

Ramos In Saturday's Times, we took a look at Plant's powerful batting order. Almost on cue, the Panthers went out and scored 26 runs on Hillsborough that day.

In our story Saturday, Hillsborough coach Ken White talked about how balanced Plant is throughout the order, and that after their 3-4-5 hitters, it doesn't get any easier.

Take for example infielder Graham Ramos (left), who typically hits in the eighth spot. On Saturday, he was 5-for-5 with two homers, six RBIs and four runs. He raised his average from .241 to .353 in one night. And in the past three games, Ramos is 8-for-12 with three homers and 10 RBIs.

Not a bad week.
