Sickles guard hopes to play in college

Pt_278339_holm_weschap_2Sickles guard Shawnta Snakovsky, who averaged 19.9 points and 6.2 steals a game as a senior, has scheduled a visit to Seminole Community College for later this month. Additionally, Hillsborough Community College has expressed interest, Sickles coach Mark Key said Monday.

The 5-foot-7 Snakovsky was a four-year starter.

"She definitely can play," Key said. "It's just going to take someone giving her a shot. She's not that big. But whoever gets her is going to get a find."

Behind Snakovsky, Sickles went 25-3.

She definately deserves as shot. I am a Pinellas County who saw her play over the summer and she was a fantastic player......quick, great on the drive. She'll do well at the next level.
