Berkeley hoops standout headed to RPI
Berkeley Prep guard/forward Zak Kazanski, a Class 3A honorable mention all-state pick, will play for Division III RPI, Berkeley Prep coach Bobby Reinhart said Thursday. Kazanski averaged 12.5 points, 3.7 assists and 3.6 boards as a senior.
A four-year starter, he played in 111 career games and scored 1,135 points in a Bucs jersey.
He chose RPI over Case Western, Rochester and Washington University in St. Louis. Kazanski is an honor student who hopes to study engineering.
"I think it's a very good fit for him for both basketball and academics," Reinhart said.
