Green Devils in the news
-- St. Petersburg High senior soccer player Lidija Barauskas was accepted to Emory University, a Division III school in Atlanta, and will play for the Eagles soccer team this upcoming season according to Barauskas' father Andrew.
Barauskas was a captain for the Green Devils this past season.
-- 2006 St. Petersburg high graduate Jennifer McKenney was named the defensive player of the year at Daytona Beach College and selected to the Mid Florida Conference's first team.
McKenney, an outfielder, just completed her sophomore season with the Falcons.
-- Drew Ford, a 2004 graduate of St. Petersburg High, was awarded the Dwight Eisenhower Watch at Columbia University after compiling the highest grades of all senior male athletes at the school. Ford, who graduates this month from Columbia, lettered four years on the Lions soccer team and was named to the Academic All-Ivy first team this season.
Ford will graduate with a BA in Political Science and will attend law school at the University of Florida.
