Holloway fitting in nicely at Armwood

Armwood running back Sirchauncey Holloway has practiced with his new team for only a week, but so far he's enjoying himself. "They're treating me real good," Holloway said. "On a scale from 1 to 10, it's like a 10."

Holloway, who transferred from Plant City during the offseason, figures to be a big part of the Hawks' offense in 2008, largely because the 5-foot-8, 190-pound rising senior has both speed and power. Right now, he's sharing time in the backfield with junior-to-be Sherman Jessie.

Armwoodhelmet_3 "We're so happy with Sirchauncey," Armwood offensive coordinator Chris Taylor said. "He's given us exactly what we were looking for this year."

And what's that?

"His ability to glide along the line," Taylor said, "and make a cut when he sees a hole open."

Holloway, his coaches say, projects to be a Division I-A player. Thus far, FAU, FIU, Troy and Wake Forest have shown the most interest. Holloway rushed for nearly 900 yards last season.

Do you wonder why the kid jumped ship before his senior year? R E C R U I T I N G

OR maybe the program is better than everywhere else and the kid wants to win? Nah that couldn't have been the case he would have rather stayed in PC under a first year coach and maybe be effective in his year thats what he should of done

Maybe the kid wants to play ball at the next level and have some choices as to where that place is. KC shouldn't knock a 17-18 year old for making a decision that effects where he can get an education AND play.

I don't wonder why Holloway would leave a program that has been to the playoffs two straight years to transfer to D school in his senior year. And Armwood's coaches talking to him after the game last year, they were just letting him know how valuable Sherman Jessie really is to the Hawk program and that nobody can take away his caries because he is so special to them.

all you haters out there u need to chill with all that b.s. because i think he is making the right decision because he has goood grades and hes good on the field so please stop hatin on him.

KC/hawknation (FAKER)- you're not slick by writing BS about Armwood under an alias hawknation name. Trying to stir up problems. Worry about what you're doing at your school (TBT) instead so you don't get shutout AGAIN!

the only thing anyone around here is worried about is what goes on here. Nobody from here cares about this, or any article about you school. Please keep our schools name out of your mouth unless you know FOR A FACT that someone from here has commented about you. Thanks!
