Huskers' do two in Tampa Bay

HuskersRemember when Nebraska was good? Back then the Cornhuskers did their best to recruit speed from the Sunshine State (think Tommie Frazier of Bradenton). Well, Nebraska, under first-year coach Bo Pelini (formerly the defensive coordinator at LSU), apparently is hoping to sink its teeth into the Tampa area. Last week, the 'Huskers offered a scholarship to Gaither running back Jarvis Giles. And today, they've offered Alonso defensive tackle Demonte McAllister. Either one would be a significant catch for Nebraska as it tries to re-enter the national scene. Both players are heralded prospects.

They also offered Mike Marry from Largo.

Pelini will have Nebraska back in the Top 10 soon.
