Interest growing for Terriers sprinter
Hillsborough's Lindsey Lamar was disappointed with how he ran at today's Class 3A state track and field meet in Winter Park (he was fourth in the 100 and sixth in the 200). But the news wasn't all bad. While he was competing, track coaches from Auburn and LSU met with Lamar's coach and expressed interest in the junior. In fact, he was told Friday that Auburn intends to offer him a scholarship soon. Georgia already has offered; UCLA also is showing interest. As a tailback, Lamar has offers from USF and Boston College.

Just so you all know....getting an offer for track isn't the same as football. There are 12.6 scholarships per team and they are heavilyt divided amongst the athletes....so a uniform and an invite to try the team is generally what most get. Go with football and see if you can also do track.
