Koslin steps down at Mitchell

Mitchell girls basketball coach Stephanie Koslin has resigned her post to spend more time with family.
She gave birth to her first child just weeks before the 2006-07 season. Now with her second child of three months she wants to be sure not to miss those little moments between mother and child.
Koslin coached six seasons for the Mustangs leading them to three district titles and a Sunshine Athletic Conference championship two seasons ago. The opening has been posted and assistant Jake Tavo is expected to apply with Koslin's endorsement.
Koslin said she hopes this is just a temporary break from coaching basketball and that she hopes to return in a few years. Until then, she'll attend games and cheer for Mitchell.
"It's a whole different job this motherhood," Koslin said. "I'm going to be a big fan."
