McLemore signs with St. Pete College

P5060005_5
Clearwater Central Catholic right-hander Joe McLemore, who is likely to play a big role in the upcoming regional finals, signed Tuesday with St. Pete College.

The hard-throwing McLemore, coming off an arm injury, has closed games and started this season for CCC, and with the new 2-of-3 format this Friday-Saturday could end up doing a little of each for the 27-2 Marauders.

McLemore is also adept with the bat, and his two-out, two-run homer to dead center in the first inning gave CCC all the runs it needed in the regional semifinals.

Thank Coach Calhoon for the T.J surgery at 14. he would be signing D1 if not for that. great job mack!

Joe Mac Jr.- Keep up the good work! The skies the limit for you.

Joe Sr and Michelle- Congrats, you guys should be very proud too of such a fine son.

Congrats to Joe on signing. Good ballplayer, even better person. If he stays healthy we'll here more on him in the future. This makes three from CCC who signed with major schools so far. Pretty good record. Still more seniors to follow.

As a "mere" step-grandfather of Joe's, I have to concur with the above. For several years now I have followed the "boys" of CCC and in my estimation (tho' slightly tilted) better baseball would be hard to find. This entire team has jelled into quite a cohesive unit - - - and quite worthy of repeating as State Champions. Joe has been a big part of it thru his good days and some of his not so good days. CONGRATS Joe on signing with a first class baseball school ---- you have worked hard for it.

Way to go "Smacklamore". We have enjoyed watching you for many many years. Best wishes for a big future!!

Congratulations to Joe, a winner in more than just baseball and to his Mom, Michele and Guy who have probably attended a thousand baseball games.
