Plant's Collins to have signing get-together
Last month, we reported that Plant outfielder Grace Slone Collins had committed to Division II Barry. On Thursday morning at 10:30, she'll make it official at a signing party in the Plant High media center. As a senior, Collins batted .524, second best on the team. She had seven doubles, six triples and 19 RBIs in helping lead the Panthers to the Class 5A region finals.

I am sure that she is a great player and a far better person than the baseball players or football stars but do you write blogs for every kid who has a "signing party" or just the plant players?

When people write me to tell about them, if time permits I'll put up a graph.

Let the girl have her moment. She worked hard and deserves it.

The girl does deserve it! No one means to take anything away from her big day that years of hard work have gone into. This is a worthy post as compared to one about what Arron Murray had for breakfast! It was that level of coverage that brought on such animosity.

Grace deserves to be put in the paper no matter what high school she went to or what sport she plays. If people are gettin sick of the Aaron Murray stuff then dont read it. Grace Collins worked her "BUTT" to get where she is going, allow her to live it up..
