Recruiting Analyst: Local RBs among state's best

RivalsHow good are our local running backs?

Good enough that well-known recruiting analyst Jamie Newberg of Rivals.com profiled four of them in his latest column -- Dontae Aycock of Chamberlain (who plays QB for the Chiefs), Adaris Bellamy of Dunedin, Jarvis Giles of Gaither and Sirchauncey Holloway of Armwood -- and said they were among the best in a state loaded with talent at that position. Newberg reports that, already, "more than 30 Florida running backs have been offered scholarships by major-college programs."

Newberg, by the way, calls Giles the "most explosive" RB in Florida.

Note: I'd link to the story, but it's available to Rivals.com subscribers only.

Giles to Tenn, Coach K at Chamberlain. and Luigi to Harvard!!

When Dunedin goes to the I backs next fall with Bellamy. He will be the best back in the state. Everett has full backs to do it, so lets go Everett. Falcons Pride

Falcon Fan, I guess you didn't read the last part of that article. When Jamie Newberg said Jarvis was the "most explosive" running back in Florida.

Falcon Fan are you kidding? Everett isn't smart enough to go to the I formation. They will struggle running the ball this year because teams like SE did last Friday will put 9 in the box and frustrate Bellamy. 12 carries 20 yards. Dunedin will die by the spread offense.

to all you football experts to run the I you need big mashing o lineman dunedin has one maybe two. oh ya experts your running back needs to be a downhill runner. Bellamy can do it but seems to prefer to pick and read his holes oh ya asses he rushed for 1900 yds last year. maybe they know what they are doing over there.

Lets wait ande see if Bellamy has a 2.0 in the fall.

Good luck thinking Dunedin will run an I-formation offense. Dunedin has run the double-wing since the 1980's. Everett doesn't know anything else except what's on ESPN SPortcenter highlights and Madden.

Bellamy ran for 1900 yds last year. Why change a good thing? He did pile on the most yards against weak teams (losing records). When he played against better teams he didn't well. A great back has to make things happen against good teams.

I bet he runs for 0 yards when he does not have a 2.0

no slamming just opinions?

CT
????????????

CT lost 31-7 to CCC in their spring game. How do you even put them on the list. They will be pathetic untill Bostick goes.
